Description
As an employee of Gislaved Municipality, you are a co-creator in your workplace.
You are given the opportunity and expected to contribute to the development of the organization through your knowledge and experience. Here, respect for differences and the equal value of all people is fundamental.
The new reception is part of the social administration's development work, where the goal is to create a clear, accessible, and legally secure pathway into social services. Here, expertise is gathered to make initial assessments and ensure that residents quickly receive the right support.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with other units within Children and Family as well as other services within the social administration.
We work according to BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus) and IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus) and strive for social work that is based on knowledge, participation, a holistic view, and good quality.
We can offer challenging and developing tasks within the framework of a supportive culture where you, together with colleagues, help shape and develop a new service.
Responsibilities
To simplify for residents, partners, and other actors, the Authority Unit for Children and Family, together with the Authority Unit for Adults and Support Functions, is starting a joint reception. The goal is to make it easy for individuals to reach social services and to be able to address questions with broad competence already at the first contact. In your role as a social worker, you will handle cases related to domestic violence, harmful use and dependency, emergency housing, LSS, social psychiatry, as well as children and families.
We are now looking for social workers who want to help build and develop this new service.
As a social worker, you have a central role in social services' first contact with residents, both children and adults. You receive and handle applications, reports, and inquiries, and make initial assessments of the need for support or protection. The work includes:
- receiving and assessing incoming applications and reports of concern
- conducting preliminary assessments according to applicable legislation
- making protection assessments and urgent assessments as needed
- providing information, advice, and guidance to residents and partners
- collaborating with other units within social services as well as external actors
- contributing to the development of working methods, routines, and structures in the new reception
The work is based on SoL, LVM, and LVU, as well as the social services' mandate to work legally secure, accessible, and with the best interests of the child in focus.
As a social worker, you are often the "spider in the web" and have an important function in creating a clear, safe, and accessible entry point to social services.
Qualifications
- are a social worker or have another education that the employer assesses as equivalent
- have experience in social work within authority practice
- have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- have a B driver's license
It is meritorious if you have experience working with reception or preliminary assessments, work within the child and youth area, adult and support functions, as well as work according to BBIC/IBIC.
As a person, you are secure, structured, and have the ability to make professional assessments even in complex situations. You have a good demeanor, are communicative, and find it easy to build trust in meetings with people.
What do we offer?
- A developing role in the establishment of a new reception
- A strong sense of group cohesion with engaged colleagues
- Good working hours
- Opportunity for remote work when the business allows
- Competitive salaries
- External supervision
- Professional development through Yrkesresan
- Paid vacation from the first year of employment
- Free swimming at the municipality's swimming facility and discounts on gym memberships
- Free parking at the workplace
- Active staff club
Your employment is closely linked to your ability to collaborate and participate in your and the organization's development. With us, this means that you have a good collaboration with your manager and colleagues, both in your own workplace and in the rest of the municipal group. You meet everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and high quality through customer and service focus. You take responsibility for being involved in organizational issues and are solution-oriented.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that your view of employment aligns with ours.
We apply a background check (extract from the criminal record) as a form of suitability assessment for all those offered employment in services where there is direct and regular contact with children and young people.
Do you want to be part of our success? Welcome with your application!
